The 1973 Toro Albala PX has been released to coincide with the market for 50th Anniversary gifts. Finding a quality wine from 1973 is a challenging task but fortunately we have partnered with Toro Albala to bring you the 1973 Don Pedro Ximenez. With a residual sugar content of 320g/litre this is molasses in a glass! The nose is complex with layers of dried fruits, dates, figs, plums, raisins, coffee, mango and chocolate with a hint of mint. The palate is immense and the sugar is balanced by a structured acidity that keeps the sweetness in check. The experience concludes with a never-ending finish.
An authentic artisanal gem elaborated with Pedro Ximénez grapes, harvested in August 1973 with temperatures that reached 45°C, following the traditional grape raising system. An exceptional white wine that has aged in oak butts and has been bottled in the most optimal moment. It has been awarded with the Grand Gold Mundus Vinis and 95 Robert Parker points.
Drink from now to 2030+
Don PX are our signature. Each one of them is taken care of with exclusivity, from the harvest to the raisining, obtaining a unique personality.
