Blandys 2009 Sercial Madeira
A dry single vintage (Colheita) Madeira. The Sercial grapes were predominantly sourced from Seixal on the North coast of the island. The wines were then aged for 13 years in 650cl cask at the Blandy’s lodge in Funchal. Just 2,600 75cl bottles have been released.

Tasting Notes
Colour . Open topaz with golden nuance, brilliant crystalline.
Aroma . Characteristic bouquet, with notes of candied citrus fruits, dried fruits, iodized notes and spice. Mouth . Dry, fresh with salinity, citrus, long aftertaste leaving retronasal spice and citrus chutney.

Cellarage & Serving
This wine should be stored upright in a dark room with constant temperature, ideally no higher than 16ºC. Decanting is not necessary, but will help remove any deposit that may have occurred in bottle over time. It has been bottled ready for drinking and will keep for several months after opening. Enjoy slightly chilled on its own or paired with appetizers during a meal.
