Oscar and Claudia Quevedo have recently declared their 2020 Quevedo Vintage port. This follows their acclaimed 2017, 2018 and 2019 vintages.

The 2020 harvest across the Douro was the smallest this century and when coupled with production and manpower issues caused by the pandemic, many producers did not declare. Those that did such as Quevedo and a few others, produced some amazing Ports that are rich, structured and deep that will mature over decades.

We first tasted this in April 2022 at the Big Fortified Tasting, It was very rich, round and thrilling. Dense and pure with a backbone and firm structure. The tannins yield to an early charm, precision and purity of fruit that becomes more evident after a few hours. An amazing long finish. This is one for keeping as it will integrate a few years.
